LATEST NEWS 15TH JULY 2008 Unlike most countries in the EU and EEA, Turkey seems less affected by the so called "credit crunch". UK Buyers are increasingly looking away from the established European areas due the weakness of the £ against the Euro. Although experiencing strong demand for holiday and investment homes Turkey is seeking to keep development in harmony with it's stunning coastline.
BLOG ARCHIVE Best off plan developments available? | | PLEASE USE THIS THREAD TO GIVE YOUR OPINIONS ON THE BEST OFF PLAN PROPERTY FOR SALE IN TURKEY | | Posted by TurkeyPropertyInvestment 12:21:11 24.08.2007; | | Comments (3): | | there are a lot of properties available in Turkey at the moment both new build stuff and existing property. I've been searching for a while now and so far the best I've found is a development called Penisula Village located in Cezme Izmir (well it will be when they've built it). at the moment they are offering 50% cashback (it does almost seem too good to be true so I'm doing some background work on the developer at present) the agent Exotic Property Sales seem to think they check out but I'm posting this as an initial recommendation only. when I know more i will post again! cheers | | Posted by Ruben 16:29:36 29.08.2007; | | re Peninsula Village | | thanks for the tip Ruben.I've been looking at this development in depth and it is very good deal. i'm very close to going ahead :-)!! | | Posted by Maria Lobos 14:02:37 31.08.2007; | | Yes indeed thanks Ruben and Maria we did some investigation work on this development and decided to accept it as our sponsored property of the month. | | Posted by TurkeyPropertyInvestment 16:10:57 11.09.2007; |
Peninsula Village - please discuss here | | this is currently our sponsored property of the month from Exotic Property Sales - please discuss your experiences here. | | Posted by TurkeyPropertyInvestment 16:15:16 11.09.2007; | | Comments (1): | | I've bought there and feel pretty comfortable at present. Initially i tried to buy direct from the developer however I'd already logged my details with another agent so in the end I went with them and was happy with the service received. | | Posted by Malcolm G. 12:46:41 04.10.2007; | |
Is Turkey Safe? | | We'd like to hear your experiences of travel to turkey and what you think about it from a safety perspective. | | Posted by TurkeyPropertyInvestment 08:50:12 23.08.2007; | | Comments (2): | | I've been on holiday there many times and never felt any less at ease than in other more typical tourist places such as spain/ canaries. That said a lot of the tourist areas of Turkey are geared up for foreigners and you are kind of in your own world. perhaps not the "real" turkey. Overall i've found the people to be friendly and hospitable. | | Posted by Louise G 11:50:03 24.08.2007; | | safe and serene! | | I'd second that it's a nice place to go for holiday and I hope to live from time to time! i recently bought out there in a place called Peninsula village through www.exoticpropertysales.com who were very helpful. | | Posted by malcolm a 13:25:22 04.09.2007; |
Where are the best Turkey Property investment returns ? | | We hope this thread will stimulate discussion into not only the best developments but also the type of developments. Very often OFFPLAN property for sale in Turkey offers very lucrative returns but naturally much greater risk. If these risks can be minimised by proper due diligence (choose a good agent, research the developer, speak to like minded people - hopefully on this blog) then offplan property for sale in Turkey makes real sense. | | Posted by TurkeyPropertyInvestment 16:49:29 21.08.2007; | | Comments (4): | | I've just started looking at property abroad as I can no longer afford to get on the property ladder in the UK. I stumbled across this site more by luck than judgement-why all the focus on Turkey? what's so good about it? | | Posted by Mark H 11:00:37 22.08.2007; | | Prices are still low, well known by tourists, great climate and loads of beaches. And NOT in EU, a definite bonus!! | | Posted by Chris 18:19:32 22.08.2007; | | as some of the pictures on here show it's a stunning place to look at. been holidaying in canaries spain etc for many years and I think turkey is so much nicer. people have always been friendly. i'm looking to buy a property in turkey at the moment and have just started my search. already one of the things i've found is that some of the companies are just bloodthirsty sales driven outfits. i really hope this develops into a useful resource as clearly it's early days at the moment. keep up the good work! | | Posted by Adrian 06:39:36 23.08.2007; | | thanks for your comments Adrian. this "outfit" is far from "bloodthirsty sales". it's a couple of people who've invested in property in Turkey already, who are hoping to help others and in doing so in the long run earn a little by taking on selected advertisers in the guide and on the site. the whole point of the blog is to keep things nice and open so that people can discuss buying property in Turkey, the country itself etc etc | | Posted by TurkeyPropertyInvestment 16:09:33 11.09.2007; |
Need help looking for property for sale in Turkey?| If you are looking for property for sale in Turkey one of the most important things is to firstly make sure you select a reputable agent. The property market is like any other - lots of competition which means a lot of choice. However the choices are often similar with many agents selling the same developments. Therefore it pays to choose and agent that you trust. There is a body in the UK call the AIPP (the association of International Property Professionals) which ensures that registered agents follow a code of conduct which goes a long way to making sure that clients receive the kind of service they expect. | | Posted by TurkeyPropertyInvestment 16:39:33 21.08.2007; | | Comments (4): | | can you tell which agents you'd recommend then? | | Posted by Mark H 11:02:13 22.08.2007; | | re: recommended property agents | Hi Mark, this site is fundementally about information and discussion and as this blog is quite a new feature at this stage we don't want to start pasting agents names in here. For example that gives them a real boost and then say they don't perform - goes against the grain of the blog. Our Turkey Property Investment guide is available if you fill in the enquiry form. within this guide we have selected sponsors who we have worked with ourselves and who are trustworthy and of course AIPP approved. As the blog develops we hope lots of people will come to naturally recommend the services of both agents and developers. For now though a good starting point would be to register for the guide. thanks | | Posted by TurkeyPropertyInvestment 11:06:54 22.08.2007; | | i'm a touch sceptical about the guide. theres a lot of websites out there at the moment that are just trying to get in touch with potential property investors to give them the hard sell. more info please! | | Posted by Adrian 06:42:20 23.08.2007; | | Hi Adrian, the aim of the site is to provide a real opportunity for people to provide feedback on Turkey, and their experiences with property purchase. It's not aimed to make anyone rich although we do hope to make a little from selected advertising opportunities in the guide we offer. The unique aspect of the blog is that you can just post comments without registering. we noticed a lot of the forums out there were just set up to provide opportunities for agents and developers to market to users surrepticiously. That's not the aim of a blog and we hope that we'll have some thought provoking topics on here (again for new topics please email first - it's not our intention to let people post topics just yet). The guide is just that a guide to investing in Property in Turkey. You should find it useful. thanks for your comments | | Posted by TurkeyPropertyInvestment 08:57:08 23.08.2007; |
